Abstract
Otosclerosis is an early adult-onset disease that can cause significant disability and morbidity due to hearing loss. It is currently considered the most common cause of middle ear hearing loss in young adults, but is less prevalent in juvenile patients and, therefore, not widely discussed in literature. This CME will discuss etiology and pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of otosclerosis in juvenile patients as compared to adults.
