Abstract
Where is the line between sometimes representing a career accurately, and never doing so? Using Roland Barthes theory of semiotics, this paper analyzes the representation of photographers in popular media as well as the use of photographs, specifically in three different films: Rear Window, One Hour Photo, and Chasing Ice.
