Background
The journal is a high-quality, peer-reviewed academic periodical dedicated to quantitative and qualitative research focusing on objective, critical, and innovative analysis of relevant political, economic, societal and cultural issues within International Relations and Diplomacy. In collaboration between the American Graduate School in Paris (AGS) and Arcadia University, it provides a research platform for fresh perspectives to foster critical thinking and debate, targeting audiences in academia, research institutions, governments, civil society, amongst independent scholars and in the private sector. The journal is an online-only open-source periodical published on an annual basis and is available at no cost to users worldwide, featuring peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, opinion pieces and interviews.

Issue Theme
The year 2024 witnessed a marked intensification of critical global challenges, including environmental degradation, armed conflicts, governance crises, developmental disparities, and deepening inequalities. As we move into 2025, these interconnected issues show little sign of abating and may even escalate further. In light of these complex and seemingly intractable problems, The Journal of International Relations, Peace Studies & Development invites submissions for its forthcoming issue, which will focus on advancing research and scholarship in various fields. We encourage submissions employing diverse methodologies and theoretical approaches, including interdisciplinary work bridging economics, political science, sociology, and related fields.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Economic policy and governance
- Political institutions and economic outcomes
- Globalization and development
- Global conflicts issues of war and peace
- Environmental political economy
- Labor markets and social policy
- Inequality and power dynamics
The JIRPSD Vol. 10 is scheduled to be published on 30 June 2025
All manuscripts must be submitted by the due date: 30 May 2025
How to submit manuscripts:
Submissions will be accepted from graduate, post-graduate level candidates, professors, independent scholars, and professional practitioners. Please submit documents in accordance with the most recent edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. Submissions that do not follow the Chicago Manual of Style risk immediate rejection. In addition, all reproduction of images, graphs, etc. that are not the property of the author must be cleared by the copyright holder before submission. All article submissions should be between 5,000 to 10,000 words, excluding notes and works cited. All submissions must be completed manuscripts with an abstract and emailed to the following address as an attachment: journal@ags.edu
The subject line should include the name of the candidate as well as “Journal Vol. 10 Submission.” Please provide your full name, contact information and affiliated institution.
