Abstract
Phthalates and Bisphenol A are known Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals and have demonstrated significant impacts on fertility and the reproductive system. Recent studies suggest exposure to these chemicals to pregnant mothers may adversely impact the health of their children. Exposure to children during significant stages of development may also be associated with increased susceptibility to illnesses such as obesity, diabetes, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and others. It is important to encourage public awareness so further studies concerning these possible associations can be conducted. The consequences of these chemicals should be taken seriously by medical professionals and governments to help protect our current and future generations.
