Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis is a relatively common condition that can present with various symptoms in a variety of settings. Due to the large number of systems within the body that it can affect, it is important that clinicians be able to recognize the disease presentation, perform proper testing, and implement the best treatment option specific for each patient. This article reviews the present knowledge surrounding symptoms, physical exam findings, lab and imaging abnormalities, and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and outlines this information to educate readers on the proper approach to a patient with the suspected disease.
