Abstract
Women are under-represented in the field of computer science. In order to attract middle/high school female students into computer science, we propose to integrate artistic ideas, such as fashion design and video production, into robotics to teach students to use computer science as a tool for creative expression. Based on the data we collected from multiple middle/high school visits, we analyzed the impact of this method on the students’ interest and motivation to learn computer science.
