Abstract
Colon cancer is a very prevalent disease that also has a high mortality rate . Currently there are preventative guidelines to detect colon cancer earlier including colonoscopies, but studies with rats have shown that probiotics may reduce one’s risk of developing colon cancer. This study was performed to determine the effectiveness of synbiotics and probiotics in preventing colon cancer in patients with different past medical histories.
